I saw the post, thanks for that.

I suspect that the software they use to produce the code charts has some
features they have mostly forgotten about, particularly since the charts
themselves are only useful references for humans.

For our purposes I will use the aliases file (minus BELL if it's there) as
the list of names for control characters with a Note explaining the
provenance.
