CMake's "Unix Makefiles" generator is POSIX-compatible. I'd like to have
a new version of it at some point that is more like Ninja (no
per-directory entry point, better structure, utilizes GNU features where
possible (but doesn't require them), etc.), but that isn't on any
schedule as of today.
