Partially. I've already taken the licensing discussion off-list.
The discussion on the merits of the feature are still somewhat relevant,
because Phil is indicating he'd like to make a feature proposal out of it.
Though we seem to be quite far from it at this point.
It would also require making it unencumbered of patents so any implementer can
implement it, royalty-free too. The exact requirements of the WG are not
something I am familiar with, though.
