Apple's latest release includes changes that will impact some of your
BlueJeans users.


    BlueJeans Desktop App 2.X Users


When users upgrade to MacOS Catalina, Apple will prompt users to grant
BlueJeans permission when users attempt to share their screen. The
default Apple prompt appears as follows:

To grant permission, navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy
> Screen Recording and check the box next to BlueJeans. The App will
then need to be restarted.


Note: This system prompt will appear only the first time the user clicks
Share Screen (until BlueJeans Desktop app version 2.16). With 2.16 users
will be presented with the following notification every time they click
on "Screen Share" until permissions are set:


    BlueJeans Desktop App 1.X Users


With this release, Apple will no longer support 32-bit applications
(including the BlueJeans Desktop App version1.x). We recommend users
upgrade to the latest version of the BlueJeans Desktop app

to avoid interruption in service. Users who click on a meeting URL will
automatically install the latest BlueJeans Desktop App2.x and join the
meeting. Note: Users who access BlueJeans via a Desktop App version 1.x
have been prompted to upgrade to the latest version since the previous
Mac OS release last September 2018.


If your organization does not allow users to upgrade software, your IT
group will need to push the latest update to your end users.
