As promised, to not exclude anyone from the SG15 body, but slightly detail reduced since this is a public list.

Here the info about the meeting I asked for. So you can see that this SIS meeting might be less interesting for you than you probably have thought.
I would like to highlight that I asked ecostd group to make a tooling-contracts special in October, and that I informed someone from SG21 about that, so this can happen (hopefully). If it does, this will be more related than our SIS talk,.

-

TK611/AG09 concluded that the contract assertions topic makes it difficult to support a positive vote on C++26.

The original idea of my reach-out on the admin mailing list has been

- Sync with NBs leaning toward a 'No' and explore if we are alone, and if that is even a real option, since to my knowledge this has never happened.
- Include experts from SG21 to get additional opinions on the topic

I have reached already point one, and know that we are not alone with our feelings.

I still would like to have a meeting with our Swedish NB experts and experts from SG21.

This meeting is meant as an informal setting for our national body to share concerns, exchange viewpoints, and explore possible consensus options.
It will not be a deep dive into each open point, but rather a discussion on whether consensus can realistically be reached, what could enable it, and how to prepare for Kona.

The scope has grown beyond my original intention, but I believe coming together in an unofficial setting is worthwhile.
Therefore, I invite NB representatives who share our interest to join.

I hope this initiative will be welcome, and I apologize if it causes any inconvenience.

The meeting will take place on October 21st, 16:00 CEST via a SIS teams call.

If you want to join that meeting, please let me know your name, email and NB / role.
I will forward this info to SIS and take care you get an invitation.
Thank you!

I want to emphasize that this isn’t Harald’s meeting; it’s a SIS/TK611/AG09 meeting.
Swedish culture is strongly consensus-based, and as a Swede by choice I feel obligated to follow this tradition in our NB process as we work toward a strong common vote on the matter.

/Harald

I would be more than happy to join such a discussion.
