People may choose not to use exceptions for various reasons. I have experienced enough such projects. It is one thing to say we do not like exceptions, but it is another to make wrong statements about how to use exceptions.

My point is to explain the state as to why the proposal such has this may not have gathered track.

You either don’t see a problem, and exceptions are the best thing in the world, there’s no fixing needed.

Or you see the problem, and you think that exceptions are fundamentally broken, any attempt at fixing it is futile because you should not be using it in the first place.

I do not think exceptions are the best thing. Even though I advocate the use of exceptions, I still use error codes at the same time. The C++ Core Guidelines say that exceptions should be used only for exceptional scenarios.

Apparently, I do not think exceptions are fundamentally broken.
