Thanks for your warm friendly and well balanced advice. I won't suffer crushing disappointment if it doesn't make it into the Standard Library. I will be delighted if enough people get to know about it that those that need it have it available to use and adopt it. The process of trying has already been very helpful in refining it. I will be posting an update soon on an important change regarding thread safety. I have to test it a bit first.
