I've made a webpage that lists all the topics ever discussed here on
this mailing list:
http://www.virjacode.com/cxxproposals/
It updates in realtime (max delay ~= 15 seconds). Sometimes when I'm
writing a paper, I find myself going back and forth checking different
months and years of posts in the archive, trying to think who said
what when. If a conversation continues into the next month, there's a
red link beside it to the first mention. Scrolling through the list
here, there's definitely a few proposals worthy of resurrection.
If you want to customise it, here's the source code:
http://www.virjacode.com/cxxproposals/cxxproposals.tar.gz
I'm thinking, would it be helpful to also run a crawler on the old
Google Group? Maybe even also comp.std.c++? There's some gold buried
in those old posts.
