YES understand. Just now I can only argue functions need share syntax with coroutines because "Subroutines (functions) are special cases of coroutines", to empower us write generic code for them (like pointer generalized to iterator, function to functor, array to container, etc., many amazing STL abstractions).

It's too late for C++20. For consideration in C++23, it needs to prove why an
*additional* syntax (not a replacement, since C++20 will be out) is beneficial
and will not unduly hurt teachability.
