I got the name wrong, it wasn’t David Sankel. It was Pete Insenee who did a talk on Median at CppCon (Evolution of a Median Algorithm in C++ - Pete Isensee - CppCon 2023 (youtube.com)). The idea was to reach out to him to involve him in the Stats discussions in SG19.

FWIW it appears Pete was representing Bloomburg in the talk.
