That is a great off-the-cuff answer.

Thanks,

Subject: [SG15] Off-the-Cuff Tooling Mission Statement

During the Tooling Study Group meeting today, I was asked a question
about the group's purpose, and I gave the following unprepared answer,
which some felt was wise to record.

The Tooling Study Group's mission is to:

- Represent the positions and opinions of those who develop tools that
interact with C++.
- Review and respond to C++ evolutionary changes that will impact
tools that interact with C++.
- Identify and comment on opportunities for tools to influence C++
language evolution.

Discussion, commentary, affirmation, and dissent are welcome.
