Hi,
The next telecon is planned for October:
*https://rallly.co/invite/I5UpVnxknwTI*
<https://rallly.co/invite/I5UpVnxknwTI>
*Please fill out this poll with your availability.*
The agenda is:
- P4234R2 $identifiers
<https://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2026/p4234r2.html>
- P2971R3 Implication for C++
<https://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2025/p2971r3.pdf>
(pending author confirmation)
While we might not get to the second paper, we'll definitely spend time
with the first. Note that $identifiers was recently seen by SG16 (Unicode
study group in WG21) which gave some feedback (
https://github.com/cplusplus/papers/issues/2792). A plausible direction for
C++ is to allow $ in identifiers unconditionally.
Also note that all the proposed dates are before the October mailing
deadline (2026-10-19), so there is still a bit of time for authors to apply
any changes after the telecon.
Yours
